Alternatively, you may already be a Blogger and you may have not been making any money or you want to make more. No matter what category your needs fall under. This blog post is for you. What are Bloggers?

Bloggers are writers. We write articles/blog posts for our own websites or for other companies.

When you pick up a magazine off the news rack at your local grocery store the articles are written by a Blogger.

Those bloggers however have a prestigious position as they work for a company and it is quite different.

How is it different being a freelance writer vs working for a company?

Even though both candidates work are Bloggers. When applying to the company position, they may require you to have a Bachelor’s in writing or something along those lines.

When being a freelance writer means working for yourself you hire yourself. No screenings, just signing up for your hosting and creating your website. That’s it.

Now, working for a company the major plus is that the pay can be base pay. Meaning you will get paid weekly or biweekly.

Alternatively, when working for yourself it is 100 percent commission-based. However, we are going to get into how you can make the best out of the commissions.

There are many many ways to make money as a blogger. We will go over each way in detail how you can make money as a blogger. There will also be a list of companies that have openings for bloggers to make money.

A Blogger Make Money Using Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing- This is best way to make money with blogging. When I first started out, I rolled my eyes to this one being nieva because I didn’t understand it. And I just said I would come back to it.

I would have made money much faster and easier if I stuck with Affiliate Marketing.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is when you promote someone else’s product or company with a special link that they give you. When you get people to sign up you will receive a commission.

2. Ads- Putting ads on your blog post is another way thing bloggers do to make money. I will say you have to have a significant about of traffic to make a good about.

Most bloggers’ dream is to make it to 50,000k sessions using Google Analytics than they apply for Mediavine Ads. Bloggers make money when accepted into the Mediavine program. I have seen income reports as much as $40k/monthly just from ads alone.

If your blog has not reached 50k sessions you can still place ads on your website. These are ad networks that are best for beginner bloggers:

Bloggers Make Money Selling Products

Bloggers make money from their blog by selling products that match with compliment their blog site. For example, if you have a fitness website, fitness and health would be your niche. You can sell a wide range of products to your readers targeted in the health and fitness niche. You would not want to sell perfume or lipgloss because that is in the beauty niche. You won’t make any sales because that is that audience that you are in front of.

3. Courses- If you are knowledgeable about some things within your niche then you should make a course about it. You can definitely make money from it. There are people that sell their courses for anywhere from $27 to $2000.

7. Sponsored Post Writing- You would search for sites within your niche. And that are accepting blog writers. They will pay you to write a blog post for their personal site or for their company.

8. Virtual Assistant- Helping clients maintain their social media accounts visibility. Bloggers help with daily tasks like checking important emails, making viral pins, promoting content, editing, and more. Bloggers can make up to $5k/month doing this.

Being a blogger can be very beneficial however you have to put in the work because you are absolutely working for yourself. However, you are not in it alone. Join a group of Facebook women that share your same blogging interest. They will support your same goals unlike sometimes your family and friends on your timeline. It is nice to have the ability to make some money on the side as a blogger. I do some of these things and I will say that it does take a lot of work.

Sponsored writing is my favorite way to make money as a blogger. I do like to write. I haven’t done it for awhile though.

I have been a blogger since before 2009. I know what you mean about all the different ways you can make money from blogging. I like your ideas on how someone new getting into blogging can learn to make money. It is important that they remember it doesn’t happen overnight. Also blogging isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme. 🙂
