How Do Business Owners Use Pinterest?
In order, for your head not to spend I’m going to put a quick step by step tutuorial into a list form of how Pinterest is used by business owners.
- Make Pinnable Images (Tall Vertical Images)
- Attach the url link to the image
- Go to your Pinterest Business account and add the images to relevant boards
- When someone is looking for content that matches your image, they then would click on it
- Now, you have traffic to your site and eyes on your products/services
So having a Pinterest account is important. It is your bread and butter. Atleast your potiential bread and butter. People make hundreds to millions of dollars all from using Pinterest, for FREE!!
Why My Pinterest Account Was Suspended?
Whew. What a week it has been. With all the Coronavirus chaos, having my Pinterest account was one of the last things I needed to happen.
First, I was gonna write to my blogging mommas about how to build and thrive your email list.
If you still want to read about that you can read on how to build a thriving email here. I will post new secrets really soon.
This backtracked me so much. I don’t want this to happen to you all. Therefore, I made it my duty to bring you guys some real-time stuff. Informative content that could and will save your business.
So I just reached 1 Million Monthly Viewers. One freakin’ million. I worked so hard pinning away and doing it right. It’s only a handful of people you see in the millions and I was there.

- So, I knew something was weird because I tried to follow people and I could not. Let me remind you I hardly follow too many people. I probably follow at least 3 people a week. Unless I participate in a Facebook thread.

- The second weirdest thing was I received an email from Pinterest saying one of my pins were removed. My pin was removed because there was a copyright complaint. However, it was not pointed at myself for being the source, but I had shared this pin before.
My response in my head:
“I do not remember pinning this exact image. If I did it was at least six months ago when I was interested in crab boils. And I bust my butt pinning beautiful and original images. So delete that pin. “
Then it happened.
I went to log into my Pinterest account and do my normal pinning.
Your account was suspended. For more information blah blah blah. Than it went out.
Everything I worked hard for. So hard. Daily. My main platform was gone. In a blink of an eye.Literally.
I rushed to check my email for an explanation. Nothing. They never sent me an email of what happened.
I then rushed to my amazing mommy blog supporters on Facebook. I tell you when you need quick answers, reviews or advice. They will be your best support team during your blogging journey.
I then took and emailed Pinterest at help@pinterest.com and creators-support@pinterest.com
Three days later I received this email.
Additional Reasons Why Pinterest Accounts Are Suspended?
- Pinning too much (spam)
- Copying someone else’ images (Use Canva Pro You won’t regret it. Get 30 Days FREE with this link)
- Using hateful language
- System glitches
- Pinning someone else’s pin who happen to had been flagged for spam
This sucks. Yes the reasonings for getting suspended is truly unfair in my opinion. But I will be taking this matter up with the creators of Pinterest. To try and find a way to protect not only business accounts but personal accounts too, from getting suspended because we unknownigly pinned a “bad” pin.
How Can You Reactivate Your Pinterest Account?
You can do what I did to reactivate your account and that is emailing help@pinterest.com AND creators-support@pinterest account.
Tips:
Alot of articles say to click the help tab and email them. In my expierence that is not even an option. My account was suspended I could not even see my profile picture nor had any access to a help tab from my account.
Use the above email addresses and email the support staff.
This is what your email should include:
- Your name
- Username (If you can’t remember that’s fine)
- Your email address used for your Pinterest account
- Address any emails sent to you about your pinning behavior or anything that you felt was held agaisnt you
- Justify and make your defense strong but short and sweet
I did get my account back in three days. It would have been sooner if I kept up to date with the emails.
Lastly, I hear a lot of people say I never got my account back. And I find that to be so sad. But in my assumption, I don’t think people are checking back up on their Pinterest appeal.

You can also message the Better Business Bureau if all else fails.
