In this post, I’m going to share with you my ultimate third-trimester to-do list.

This list is broken down into four main categories: preparing your home, preparing for birth, preparing for baby, and preparing yourself. So, grab a cup of tea and get comfortable – let’s get to it!

Preparing Your Home

When it comes to preparing your home for a baby, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind. First of all, make sure that you’ve designated a space for the baby to sleep.

This could be a bassinet, a crib, or even a co-sleeper. Whatever you choose, just make sure that it meets current safety standards. You’ll also want to think about baby-proofing your home. This means covering electrical outlets, securing cabinets and drawers, and installing safety gates on staircases.

Lastly, consider stocking up on essentials like diapers, wipes, and baby clothes. You don’t want to be running to the store every other day because you ran out of something!

Preparing for Birth

When it comes to preparing for the big day, there are a few things you’ll want to do in advance. First of all, pack your hospital bag!

Make a list of everything you’ll need and start gathering those items together. You’ll also want to have a birth plan in place.

This doesn’t need to be anything fancy – just a general idea of how you’d like things to go. Make sure that your partner (if applicable) is also aware of your wishes.

Lastly, consider taking a childbirth class. Not only will this give you a better idea of what to expect, but it will also provide you with some coping mechanisms for when the pain starts to kick in.

Preparing for Baby

Of course, you’ll want to make sure that you have everything you need for the baby’s arrival. This means having a car seat properly installed in your vehicle.

You’ll also want to have some essentials like bottles, formula (if you’re not planning on breastfeeding), and a breast pump (if you are planning on breastfeeding).

Consider setting up a diaper-changing station in your home, complete with a changing pad, wipes, and diaper cream.

And don’t forget about the baby’s entertainment! A bouncy seat or swing can be a lifesaver when you need to put the baby down for a few minutes.

Preparing Yourself

Lastly, you’ll want to take some time to prepare yourself. Pregnancy and childbirth can be tough on your body and your mind, so it’s important to take care of yourself in the weeks leading up to the birth.

Consider getting a prenatal massage or taking a yoga class. Make sure that you’re eating a healthy diet and staying well-hydrated. And don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it – whether that’s from your partner, a friend, or a family member. You’ve got this, mama!

Phew – that was a lot of information! But hopefully, you’re feeling a little less overwhelmed and a little more prepared for the arrival of your little one. Remember, you’ve got this!
