5 Weight Loss Hacks For Busy Moms

I can attest that weight loss is no walk in the park. Everyone wants to be an ideal size. But lifestyle changes can make that so hard. I always thought I could lose a couple of pounds. Looking back now I was crazy to think that. In high school that was my ideal size.

At 20 when I had my first child the pounds started packing on. I gained 50 lbs with each of my three children. You can do the math. Ughh. I know. I just knew I had to be myself again. Now I have shed over 100 lbs in one year, with no surgery. Here are some power players in my weight loss journey.

1. Coffee-

Coffee spreads up your metabolism. In a nutshell, when you speed up your metabolism, that makes energy. That energy is then used to burn fat faster. Here are some more ways to speed up your metabolism.

How to remove your hanging stomach.

2. Shorter Workouts-

I’m not just saying this because I am a busy mom. But this is how it all started out. I knew I did not have time to allocate to working out. Working out for an hour or less, was a dream. So with some research, I saw that jumpstarting your body with SHORT but TARGETED workouts was as effective as working out for an hour. You can see why here.

I went on Google Play (You can find it also in the Apple Store). I search for workout plans for women. And I tried many. There are so many that work. You have to find the right one for you. The one that I primarily use is Feel The Burn, 30 Day Challenge.

That app is 5 to 10 min workouts. I do one of the workouts in the morning. And if I have time during the night, I select a different workout on there.

3. No Night Snacking

This was such a hard one to break. If you are like most mothers. We are so much on the run during the day, we will not eat and be fully satisfied.

For example, how many times did you just eat what your kids didn’t finish? How many times did you eat a meal, but were not able to relax and enjoy it, because you were distracted by your kiddo wanting your plate and not his or hers? (And it’s the exact friggin’ thing!!! That’s kids for you lol)

At night, when everyone is asleep. I use to catch up on my tv shows, some laundry while eating everything that I didn’t get a chance to eat earlier. And most of the time it was pure junk food. Eating Nachos and cheese while catching up on the latest Housewives doesn’t seem to bad. But when you see the scale go a pound up it doesn’t make you feel so good.

I avoided this all. When the cravings would kick in again, I would brush my teeth again with minty toothpaste. It sounds crazy, but it makes you not want to eat.

4. Water

Yes, I hate water. Yep, I’m 100 lbs down and still hate water. My daughter will request water with each meal. I’m glad she loves it. But inside I cringe. But this is essential for any weight loss or anything beneficial for yourself.

If you are not a fan of water, as well, you can put your favorite low-calorie juice enhancer in it.

It purifies your body. Drinking water to promote weight loss does wonder. If you drink at least 8 oz before a meal, it will help you to eat smaller portions. Drink water in between meals to kick off unnecessary cravings as well.

5. Coach/ Supporter

My mother has lost over 150 lbs herself as she is my inspiration for not only losing weight 100 % naturally. (No pills and no surgery). With her success and everyone wanting to know just how she did it, she has added a Nutritionist and Weight Loss Coach to her 25+ year medical career.

As her daughter, of course, I was able to test out her services, in wanting to get the amazing results she had. I was able to get the full list of resources and routines that she has done and my mom (My Weight Loss Coach/Supporter) was able to customize it to my life.

If I didn’t have this I don’t believe I would have seen the results I’ve seen in the short period of time that it was for me to lose 100 lbs and counting.

She takes clients when it fits her schedule. But they book fast. For an affordable rate, for a weight loss coach customized plan, inbox me for more information over at facebook.com/allmodernmommy.
