Clothes Out For The Week

Each Sunday, I dedicate a time to pick out all my kids’ clothes for the week ahead. I do the same with my clothes. I make sure that all the clothes are wrinkle-free and they are weather appropriate. This mom hack is easy because I don’t have to stress each day about what to wear or who will wear what. This is a time saver and my number one stress reliever.

Because otherwise, it is a complete stressor. I fell in love with these organizers from Amazon. They have storage side pockets for socks and all. Each cubby has the day of the week over it. Talk about the organization. And my kids love seeing it. It incorporates a learning strategy (learning and remembering ) of the days of the week into their normal routine.

Clean The Night Before

So when I don’t feel burnt out from homework or the kids talking. Ha! I like to clean the whole house before we go to bed. I don’t mean washing the baseboards kind of clean. A simple, doing the dishes, folding extra clothes and sweeping kind of thing.

Therefore, when we get up in the am it’s nice and clean. Because for myself with my OCD I have to have a clean house before I leave the house. This is why I am late almost to everything if my house is not clean. If I do not feel like cleaning the night prior, I just get up earlier the next morning and do this before we end up late. This is also a major thing when coping with anxiety as a mother.

BedTimes On Time

I think a lot of mothers know what I mean. When it’s bedtime, we are relieved. Not that we don’t love our kids. But it’s a quiet time for us to unwind from our busy day. And being a blogger is no easy task. Usually, my blogging tasks start at night.

Make sure you and your children have quality time once they get home. Then, have a nice cooked meal. Ultimately, the whole bedtime routine is complete. The kids should be in bed. Lastly, do not let them stay up and linger. This will stop you from getting your me-time. Furthermore, as my mother always said, “You can’t take care of anyone if you don’t take care of yourself.”
