However, after sometime and I wanted to add a new and easy meal idea into my meal rotation…I decided to give the Easy Garlic Bread Pizza a try.

This dinner recipe has become a guilty pleasure.

I wish that I would have tried this earlier.

What is Garlic Bread Pizza?

Garlic Bread Pizza is a super easy and cheap dinner idea. This can also be a fun lunch option as well. 

It is a homemade pizza on a slice of Garlic Bread. If your kids are not a fan of Garlic no worries. 

The Great Value Walmart Brand only has a hint of Garlic Bread that is totally tolerable.

This recipe literally cooks in under 10 mins with a 5 min or less prep. This is so perfect for busy mothers and families.

Everyone loves pizza. Garlic Bread Pizza is an easy way for your family to customize their dinner and make it fun. 

This also dinner idea also cost $10 or less to make.

This is a WIN- WIN!

(As a busy mom I was in a rush to fix this meal and forgot to take a picture of the ingredients. But I wanted you all to know what I used.)

Tools you’ll need

As you can see in the above image. I was able to get everything from Walmart.

  • Garlic Bread (without the cheese layered)
  • Parsley (Optional)
  • Pizza Sauce (1 can)
  • Aluminum Foil or Sheet Pan
  • Pepperoni slices (Turkey slices can also be used)

I brought all the ingredients from Walmart. I brought the Great Value kind, and I have to tell you this pizza taste AMAZING!

How to Make the Garlic Bread Pizza?

1. Gather all of your ingredients.

2.Place your oven on 400 degrees while you are preparing this.

3. Place the Garlic Bread on Aluminum Foil or a Sheet Pan. Cook for 5 mins or until the bread is brown.

(DO NOT ADD ANYTHING. JUST LET ONE SIDE BROWN THEN FLIP IT OVER.)

4. Take out the Garlic Bread and now here goes the fun part. Gather the kids up to personalize their own pizzas.

5. Flip over the Garlic Bread to the soft sides. Take a spoon and sauce the soft part of the Garlic Bread. 

Add the Mozzarella cheese.

For Pepperoni Lovers add the pepperoni or any other toppings. 

Garnish with Parsley. (Optional)

6.Put it back in the oven for 5 mins or until everything looks gooey and baked.

It is okay if the edges brown a little.

*Be careful as this cooks very fast. Oven times may vary so the first time around keep an eye on this from start to finish for the best results.

Can adults eat this?

This is not only a good meal for kids but adults as well. I was amazed how this was so filling this was for everyone. 

Two slices of this Garlic Bread Pizza was very fulfilling. I tried just one for lunch the next day and that was fulfilling as well.

What to pair the Garlic Bread Pizza with?

Since the Garlic Bread Pizza is fulfilling in itself. You can balance and complete this meal with a side salad.

Storage Tips for Garlic Bread Pizza Ingredients

  1. Garlic Bread
    • Store unopened frozen garlic bread in the freezer until ready to use.
    • Once opened, reseal the bag tightly or place the bread in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag to prevent freezer burn.
    • If you have leftover garlic bread, wrap it in foil or a resealable bag and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  2. Pizza Sauce
    • Store unused pizza sauce in an airtight container or jar in the fridge for up to 7 days.
    • For long-term storage, freeze pizza sauce in ice cube trays, then transfer the frozen cubes into a freezer bag for easy portioning.
  3. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    • Keep cheese sealed in its original bag or transfer it to an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
    • If buying in bulk, divide into smaller portions and freeze for up to 3 months.
  4. Pepperoni Slices & Other Toppings
    • Store pepperoni and other meats in their original packaging in the fridge and use within a week of opening.
    • Freeze excess pepperoni slices by placing them in a freezer-safe bag. They can last up to 3 months in the freezer.

  3. Microwave – Heat for 30-45 seconds, but note that this may make the bread softer instead of crispy.
