The Challenges of Mom Life

So, as I was doing the dishes tonight. And me just telling myself how much I hate doing dishes. Like seriously, it feels like I’m standing there for an hour. After making a few huffs and puffs to myself, I said. Why not write an article about this? No not just hating dishes. But all the pet peeves as a mom that I truly SMH about every time. Because this site is for us moms. Why not be as open and as real as I can be with motherhood. There is another momma that will read this article. And will so relate to one of these pet peeves of mine. And with that, I can’t magically erase your mom’s pet peeves. But at least you found another momma that you can connect with and relate to. So with that being said let’s hop into my rant.

By the way, comment below what’s your pet peeve as a mom or just as an adult/woman. I would love to hear from my readers.

1. Picking Up Couch Pillows

Okay, I don’t know how many times I pick these two pillows up off the floor. My three children rotate in picking them up. Then again they rotate in playing pillow fight with them, while I’m in the kitchen washing the dishes that I just simply hate. Yes, I am aware that some people have dishwashers. Ironically, where I lived prior to having kids, my place had a dishwasher. Now, in the time that I could really use that handy robot, I’m old schooling it. Lol.

2. Kids Eating Snacks

I buy a box of fruit snacks of like a 40 ct. for my kids, hoping it will last for a few days. But those things are so small I end up feeling bad, for the pouch being so small with like 8 gummies in it. And I give them 2 packs each time. Sometimes they take it. Sometimes they don’t. That leaves me with an empty box of fruit snacks in like 3 days. I’m aware I’m the problem with this pet peeve. lol.

3. OCD

I believe everyone is OCD about something. And my OCD is with cleaning. Having three kids 9,7,and 5 and having OCD for cleaning. Uhhh yeah my anxiety is on high everyday.

4. Morning Routine

You know how I said my anxiety is on 10 everyday? Yup, well the mornings is the peak of my anxiety. It’s just the whole nine of yards of making sure everyone is ready for the day. Even though all my kids are very independent and can do everything on their own. My OCD or just me being a mom, I have to make sure of it. And through in there that I have to oversee my the two businesses that I run. And add my to do list when appts. need to be made and other adulting business calls. So yeah mornings are not my fav.

However, I know half of my stress would be taken away if I just get up earlier. Which leads me to my next pet peeve.

5. Going To Bed Late, Getting Up Late

I’m sure ladies you already know what I mean. Especially moms. No matter the age of our children, we can’t quite complete all tasks while they up. So we find ourselves, doing this when they are asleep at night. And then before you know it, it’s 12 am. And in order for us to not go crazy in the am, we have to be up before the kids.

Well, that’s what happens to me. And as many times as I may set my alarm, I will delay the alarm to 5 mins later like 5 times!! And when I’m trying to get myself together quietly, here comes someones’ little feet.

6. Skin Care

I don’t know why my skincare routine takes so long. Like really do we really need to have 6 products or so for clear skin!!

7. School Dropoffs

I love my kiddos. And as much as it is a great break when they are in school. I miss my babies so much when they go to school. I think about them all through the day and hope they are having a stress-free day.

8. Me Time

As much as I think I may need ME time. I never take advantage of the times I should. I don’t know I think I’m just that helicopter mom. That has it’s pros and cons.

9. Making Meals For Nothing

Okay, this can’t only be me. I make meals that are hearty, healthy for the most part yet always yummy. I think my kids think the same thing. But they don’t clear their plate!! They probably would rather some nuggets and fries or a ton of crab legs. *sigh* And then I end up eating the food they don’t eat. Which completely throws off my eating habits.

10. Sibling Arguring

I promise if my kids could go one day without arguing, I would feel like I won’t a million bucks. One minute, they are playing the Granny Game or one of those trending games together. The next it’s WWF.

Closing

I’m sure I have plenty more pet peeves. And I may add some on as I remember them when it’s actually happening. Lol. But yeah, those are my mom pet peeves. What’s yours? I would love to hear them. Comment down below.
