Now back to warm colors, yes here are some examples, below to help give your room a warm and cozy feel.

Step Two: Soft Lights

Lighting is everything to a room. It sets the tone. I remember, going to Walmart once to get a replacement light bulb and I got the wrong kind. Because when I put it in my whole living room lit up like it would for a garage light. That was switched quickly. : )

You do not have to spend more than $2 on great lighting. Just make sure the bulbs are a soft and yellow effect.

Another alternative is adding lampshades, here are some examples of the lighting and

lampshades.

Note; I’m not saying to live in the dark. Sunlight and bright light actually make someone feel better. It helps your mental health. However, we all have our days where we just want to cuddle up and get cozy. If you want to get the same cozy effect without making the room so dim, let the natural sunlight in or turn your regular light on. You can also get a dimmable light bulb, where you can change the brightness of the light.

Step Three: Blankets or Throws

How can you get cozy without having a blanket? You can put these on the back of your chair or have a basket and fold them in for the family to get them out as they please. Just make sure they know the rules, to fold them back when they are done. : ) Because us moms have enough on our plate already, am I right? : )

My family and I love this idea we all grab our covers from the basket and couch and watch a movie on family night.

These are some amazingly soft and cozy blankets you and your family will love.

Step Four: Fairy Lights

Don’t feel bad if you don’t know what fairy lights are. Well, I sure didn’t like a two years ago. But since I found them I have added them to a must-have to almost all my DIY home decor projects, just like my outside lanterns for my steps. (post on that soon).

To make your room cozy take the fairy light strings and place them behind random places in your room. For example, around your mirror, television, dresser, window seal,.
