21 Farmhouse Living Room Furniture Ideas on a Budget

Something is calming and joyful about the Farmhouse aesthetic. Whenever I see a Farmhouse room decor it takes me back to my childhood, being carefree.

How does Farmhouse decor make you feel? What does it mean to you?

Since I am in love with my Farmhouse Living Room Decor, I will be sharing some personal touches that I have added to my living room and how you can as so on a budget.

Remember to add all of the large furniture pieces first and then you can start to add little touches like accent furniture pieces. This is also a budget-friendly way of obtaining a Farmhouse Living Room on a Budget.

Farmhouse Living Room Decor: Rustic TV Stand

For starters, there should be 2-3 main Farmhouse living room pieces. These will be your staple pieces. For me, it was my TV stand.

I love this TV stand because it works well with any season. The natural sunlight shining on it in the morning is just beautiful.

During the winter months, it gives it a cozy ambiance when I turn the fireplace on. (By the way, it warms the entire room.)

This fireplace is perfect for small spaces.

There are so many different designs that you can choose from. However, remember to aim for the rustic look.

Farmhouse Living Room Decor: Couches

The couches and chairs are the most important features when trying to go after the Farmhouse Living Room Aesthetic.

Make sure the couches are comfortable.

Comfort over Looks is most important.

The farmhouse aesthetic is also about being relaxed and comfortable.

I have two couches one longer couch and a loveseat. I made sure the texture and look matched a rustic theme.

Farmhouse colors tend to be very light and neutral.

Yet, I have also seen darker Farmhouse decor inspirations. These would be perfect during the winter months.

I chose beige couches with a gray rustic finish.

Once you have your couches and TV/entertainment stand, you will add the 3rd most important piece.

Farmhouse Living Room Decor: Rug

When we first moved to our new home I was in love with the wood flooring, until it became not as cozy as I would have liked it to be.

My first rug piece was in my living room.

For me I had to see the rug face to face before purchasing it.

Maintenance- Consider if you can keep this clean. (For example, if you have younger children and a white carpet.)

This has been the most exciting one for me when shopping for farmhouse living room decor: seasonal items.

I love that I can shop around each season and when I get bored, it’s easy because the next season comes around so I can swap them out.
