The start of a new year is the perfect time to add to your bucket list and start adding it to your calendar.
This is why I have made the Ultimate 2026 Bucket List Ideas for Women in Their 30s.
Before we get in this super fun post, make sure to grab my Free Vision Board Planner.
You will want to get all of your bucket list ideas and add it to the Vision Board.
How to Turn Your Bucket List into Actions
It is easy to say ‘That seems fun, I’m going to add that to my bucket list.’
However, if you are not taking action with planning and doable steps then the bucket list goal maybe put to the back burner as the year goes on.
But no, we are not going to do that.
This is exactly what I recommend (because it has worked for me countless times).
- Write down the categories
- Add all things that you want to accomplish in your 30s (don’t worry we will break them into smaller actions)
- How old are you now? Now here is where the formula comes into play. What can you realistically do in 1 year if you are 39?
How about if you are 35 what can you do within 5 years? After, you think about that then add those things in a timeline.
Don’t worry in the Life Planner there are timelines. Get your planner here.
Once everything has been added to your timeline, now it is time to break your bucket list ideas into small steps.
- For example, if you have added 10 ideas to your bucket list for this year then add one idea for each month.
If you have an idea like Travel to Paris then you will want to add that for a month that you can actually do that. Give yourself enough planning time.
If you need help on how to plan a bucket list trip check out this post.
- The last step is to make sure you add your month bucket list idea(s) to a visible calendar. This way you can see it, get excited and plan your month accordingly.
I know that was a lot so let’s summarize it:
- Bucket List Categories
- Write down ALL ideas under each category
- What time are you giving yourself to accomplish these bucket list ideas
- Add it to a timeline (for your 30s, if it extends to your 40s that is fine as well)
- Add one or multiple ideas for each month or every other month ( do not burnout adding 3 or 4 every month).
You want this to be fun, not like another stressful task.
If you want your friends/family to join in on the fun, learn how to Host a Vision Board Party.
Side Note: I know that you see the wording Vison Board and Bucket List being used in the same way throughout this post. For me, a bucket list is the same visions that you want to have for yourself. Yes, bucket list can be more outlandish and fun, but so should your vision.
I watched a brief Joel Osteen sermon this morning, I’ll link it below. And he discussed on how to create a vision and do not limit your vision to what you can afford or what you think that you could accomplish.
Nothing is too big for our all-mighty Jesus Christ.
