Now that my kids are older, I have graduated past the two year old stage. With chasing them around and making sure they don’t get into everything.

Creating the Ideal Setting

One of my favorite outdoor activities to do with my kids outside was a sensory table. We all would pullup our summer chairs and explore all the different sensory sections.

This lasted for hours.

Bring Your Work: Play with your child is beneficial in many ways. The main benefit is showing bonding and caring. However, if you are a work-from-home mom, you may not have an extended time to do this. So pull up a chair and put in a burst of 15-20 mins of work.
Bring the Snacks: During this time we would be perfect to take a break and enjoy those refreshing yet messy snacks.
Water and Dirt: Does your 2-year-old love cars? A sensory table is the perfect time to have your child take his car or her car through the car wash after it has rolled around in the dirt for a bit.
